Don't worry...Be happy

Last week I had my 10 year high school reunion. It seems unreal that it has been 10 years since I graduated high school...completely unreal. And something even more crazy to me is the fact that people graduating from college right now were barely high school 'babies' while I was in college.

We had a blast at the reunion. It was really nice catching up with everyone; though this day and age (I'm really showing my age saying 'this day and age', aren't I!?) it's not like we didn't half way know what was going on in each others lives with social media. Still I had not seen some of these people in years! Some since ICC, others since MSU and there were a few that I had not seen since high school graduation itself. So much has happened through the years with marriage, kids, schooling, jobs, etc. Our officers did a great job putting everything together! While we were sitting around eating dinner I looked around and realized that most people freak out about their 10 year reunion and getting close to turning 30, but we were all still young. We were all in different stages in our lives, but we all are still truly just starting out on adventures.

One of my bbf's that I met at ICC who is now engaged to someone I graduated with! Never thought she'd be at my HS reunion...it was great!

The photo booth was a big hit!

With my reunion coming and passing and reflecting on different things that came with it made me think back to my birthday and the lists I made for it.

28 Things to do by the time I’m 29:

1.    Read more

2.    Become a healthier person

6.    Bite my tongue more

7.    Find my own place that I love (rent or own)

9.    Have a morning routine…don’t just pop out of bed and rush around

10.  Get into photography (what I originally wanted to do out of High School)

11.  Have a surprise party

12.  Get back into scrapbooking…and own it (like a boss)

13.  Read my Bible more

14.  Blog at least 2-3 times a month

15.  Learn how to be less independent and stubborn when it comes to relationships

27. Own more classy shoes...sass it up!
28. Go to more Braves games!

I have been working on several of these things: complaining less, finding a place of my own, spending less time on social media and playing with my green thumb.

There is one that has really become a probably lately.

#22 worry less

Ugh! What a task! Especially if you have so much going on in life...umm especially in general! I will make myself physically sick worrying about certain things. Things that I can't control or fix. Only one person can take control of the situation and make me not worry...the good Lord!
Don't get me wrong when I get so stressed and worried about certain things I will pray and read my bible verses meant for those moments. But eventually my worry free moments have passed, for some reason those precious moments of 'freedom' are gone because I lose sight of what gave me that peace in the first place.

I truly have to let go and let Him take full control of the situation. He will never give us more than we can handle and I have to trust with my whole heart that he will get me through it. Only then can I become less stressed and worried. I may not ever be 100% worry free, but I am determined to have a positive attitude about even the worst situations. I want to worry less 24/7 not just a week here and a week there. A girl has got to keep her sanity somehow!

So I challenge everyone to...

HAHA JJJJJJJKKKKKKKK!

Yes, that is a poke at all of you lovely peope who have flooded social media with the challenges. Lawd bless you all :)
